Health Care for Students At THS – Closed for The Summer

Our School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) are closed during the summer months. We are offering telehealth appointments by video and phone and on-site visits at our year-round clinics. Call 303-289-1086 to get more information or to make an appointment.

Kids First Health Care provides high-quality health care services at a convenient location on campus for students enrolled at Thornton High School (THS) and Bollman Technical Education Center (BTEC). Anaiz Sotelo

Anaiz Sotelo, Clinic Operations Manager

Ms. Sotelo has worked at Kids First for more than three years. She currently serves as the Clinic Operations Manager. In this role, she coordinates the dental programming at BHS, THS, and ACHS; manages various IT projects; and assists with administrative tasks. Previously, she worked as a certified medical assistant for nine years and has experience in family practice, orthopedics, aesthetics, and pediatric practices.

Jessy Perz, Medical Provider

Ms. Perz joined the staff of Kids First Health Care as a nurse practitioner in 2019. As the nurse practitioner at Thornton High School (THS), she provides a variety of health care services, including acute care, annual physicals, asthma care, and reproductive health services, to THS and Bollman Technical Education Center (BTEC) students. She graduated from University of Colorado School of Nursing in May 2019 with a Master of Science, Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner degree. She also has an active RN license for the state of Colorado.

Elle Simmons, Health Educator

Ms. Simmons joined Kids First in August 2019 after returning from service with the Peace Corps in Ethiopia as a Community Health Educator. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Sociology from Baylor University in May of 2019. As a Health Educator at Kids First, she provides resources and education regarding nutrition, reproductive health, and asthma management.

Senidi Banuelos, Float Medical Assistant

Ms. Banuelos has worked as a medical assistant with Kids First Health Care since August 2019. In her role, she assists with a variety of medical tasks, including recording patients’ medical histories, taking vitals, running labs, and more. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a Certified Medical Assistant in April 2018 and then completed her externship with Clinica Family Health. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
