Ann Morales, Medical Provider

Ms. Morales is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked at Kids First Health Care for four years. As the medical provider at Brighton High School (BHS), she provides a variety of health care services, including acute care, annual physicals, asthma care, and reproductive health services, to BHS students.  Prior to serving with Kids First, Ms. Morales worked as a nurse practitioner at Community Health Centers in Colorado.

Julissa Mijares, Medical Assistant

Ms. Mijares joined the Kids First team at Brighton High School (BHS) in January 2019. At the BHS health center, she greets students, checks in patients, handles paperwork, verifies insurance, answers the phone, and more. She has approximately eight years of experience as medical assistant and has worked in family practice, pediatrics, OB/GYN, and geriatrics. Ms. Mijares is currently working towards a degree in Human Development.

Dr. Sarah Winbourn, Pediatrician

Dr. Winbourn, a graduate of Vanderbilt University Medical School, joined the staff of Kids First in September 2008 so she has also been with the agency for ten years. She completed her residency through the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center Pediatric Residency Program and has practiced at The Children’s Hospital Denver, Denver Health Medical Center and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In her role as Medical Director, Dr. Winbourn directs medical care at all Kids First clinics and oversees a staff of nine medical providers. Dr. Winbourn is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Anaiz Sotelo, Dental Program Manager

Ms. Sotelo has worked at Kids First for three years. She currently serves as the Dental Program Manager and BHS Clinic Manager. In this role, she coordinates the dental programming at BHS and ACHS while also managing operations at the new BHS site. Previously, she worked as a certified medical assistant for nine years and has experience in family practice, orthopedics, aesthetics, and pediatric practices.
