As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Kids First is committed to providing the best quality health care services to medically underserved children and youth. No child is ever turned away due to the family’s inability to pay.
There is a persistent need for these services in the communities where we work. In Commerce City, where most of our clinics are located, 84% of students qualify for the school district’s free and reduced lunch program. Through Kids First’s school-based model, these children receive essential health care services and have fewer school absences, while parents lose less time at work. This small shift can have enormous impacts on a low-income family.

Last year, Kids First was able to provide more than $1 million in charitable care to cover the cost of services for uninsured and underinsured children. Nearly 87% of our budget goes directly to programs and services.
