As we reflect this Thanksgiving week, we want to share how truly thankful we are for our staff, patients, families and entire community for supporting our mission to improve the health and well-being of all children, regardless of their circumstances, through access to high quality health care.

Mental health is a significant aspect of a student's overall well-being, and we applaud WPS for its commitment and focus on this important issue affecting youth across the nation.

The Kids First School Nursing Team provided important updates to their colleagues, and we discussed several exciting opportunities happening in Westminster right now, including our ninth clinic opening this December - the Kids First Health Care Alto Clinic at Maiker Housing Partners! Patients from birth to 21 can access this new clinic at 3075 W. 71st Avenue for high quality health care services.

Did you know Kids First Health Care opened Colorado’s FIRST school-based health center in 1978?

School-based health centers improve students’ overall health, reduce absenteeism, decrease discipline referrals and increase graduation rates.

As the only school-based health care provider in Adams County, Kids First relies heavily on donations to provide high quality health care that is culturally responsive, affordable and offered during convenient hours within the school.

A big thanks to @adams14schools for having us out at tonight’s Footsteps2Brilliance event at Lester Arnold! So great to hear about this free early literacy program that supports reading development for children from birth through third grade!

All Kids First Health Care school-based health cen

All Kids First Health Care school-based health centers are closed today due to inclement weather. Providers at the school-based health centers will support patients with rescheduling appointments, including an option for telehealth visits for today.

Our two community clinics at Commerce City and Gregory Hill will be open today, with early closures at 1:00 p.m.

Kids First Health Care is thrilled to share that we are expanding our services across Adams County at our newest community clinic in Westminster!

In partnership with Maiker Housing Partners, our Alto Community Clinic is set to open in late fall and will centralize high quality health care services right inside the Alto Apartment community.

We can’t wait to welcome families to our new clinic. Stay tuned for additional updates, and a community open house this November!
