Our School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) are open when school is in session. We are offering telehealth appointments by video and phone and on-site visits at our year-round clinics. Call 303-289-1086 to get more information or to make an appointment.

Sonia Cobos-Astorga, Medical Assistant

Ms. Cobos-Astorga has worked as medical assistant at Kids First Health Care for nearly six years. As the medical assistant at ACMS, she greets students, checks in patients, takes vitals, obtains medical histories, runs labs, and much more. In December 2005, she graduated from Westwood Community College and obtained her medical assisting certification. She has worked in the medical field since 2006 and has a wide range of experiences in the field–from pediatrics to family practice to geriatrics. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the Community College of Aurora. She loves helping patients and parents understand the importance of their health care. Ms. Cobos-Astorga is bilingual in English and Spanish. 

Bobbi Garcia-Abrego, Enrollment Coordinator

Ms. Garcia-Abrego has worked at Kids First Health Care since 2010. In her role as Enrollment Coordinator, she enrolls families and children in Medicaid, CHP+, and Kids First’s sliding scale; helps families sign up for Presumptive Eligibility (temporary Medicaid coverage); troubleshoots issues with public insurance enrollment; and provides referrals for community resources. Prior to serving at Kids First, she worked in medical billing, and in 2003, she obtained her medical assisting certification through Concorde Career College. Ms. Garcia-Abrego is bilingual in English and Spanish, and she adores serving her community.
