Kathleen Ramirez, FNP-C, Nurse Practitioner

Kathleen is a family nurse practitioner and has been in practice for eight years. Kathleen has spent her entire career in the medical field, bringing a vast range of experience to her role at Kids First Health Care.

 

As a nurse practitioner, Kathleen supports patients with education, best practices, and management of acute illness, chronic health problems and mental health. Well-versed in working with diverse patient populations, Kathleen highly respects each patient as an individual with their own needs, opinions, and priorities regarding their health and well-being.

 

In her free time, Kathleen enjoys horses, her grandkids, music, and being outdoors enjoying the sunrise, sunsets and the country life.

Liz Allshouse, Medical Provider

Ms. Allshouse joined the Kids First team in 2019. As the medical provider at the Brighton High School site, Ms. Allshouse provides a variety of health care services, including well-child checks, care for acute illness and injuries, care for chronic conditions, and reproductive health care, for BHS students. She graduated from University of Colorado School of Nursing in 2018 with a Master of Science in Nursing, and she is certified as a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She has professional pediatric experience in primary care, in-patient hospitals, and home care settings.

Bobbi Garcia-Abrego, Enrollment Coordinator

Ms. Garcia-Abrego has worked at Kids First Health Care since 2010. In her role as Enrollment Coordinator, she enrolls families and children in Medicaid, CHP+, and Kids First’s sliding scale; helps families sign up for Presumptive Eligibility (temporary Medicaid coverage); troubleshoots issues with public insurance enrollment; and provides referrals for community resources. Prior to serving at Kids First, she worked in medical billing, and in 2003, she obtained her medical assisting certification through Concorde Career College. Ms. Garcia-Abrego is bilingual in English and Spanish, and she adores serving her community.
