Kids First has begun the processing of securing a new main clinic headquarters, co-located on the 4th floor of the old Adams County Human Services building, with other child- and family-serving agencies at the Commerce City Community Campus. The goal of the new clinic and administration site is to increase access to high-quality pediatric health care services and promote equitable health outcomes by delivering client-centered care alongside complementary health and human service agencies.
The result will be a more spacious, modern and welcoming health care facility. Compared to the current clinic, it will serve more children, offer more services and provide care that better suits their medical, mental, and dental health needs. The clinic design will promote coordination among our practitioners for improved patient outcomes, and mental health services will increase from part-time to full-time. Kids First’s enrollment coordinator will help more families enroll in Medicaid or CHP+, and co-location with Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND) will offer easy access to pediatric dental services. The ultimate outcome will better meet the needs of Core Commerce City area families through an integrated, place-based model, aligned efforts and shared resources.
As this campaign begins to move further along, we look forward to communicating our progress here on the Capital Corner page. To learn more about the Commerce City Community Campus visit: http://www.c4wellness.org/.
