Denver, CO (April 15, 2021) – The BOK Financial Biz Bash recently announced a donation of more than $310,000 to two Colorado beneficiaries, Kids First Health Care and A Precious Child.

The Biz Bash concert fundraising event was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. However, BOK Financial and the company’s community of clients, partners, employees, and other generous donors continued to give to the true purpose of this event – supporting children in need in our community. Each nonprofit received $155,190 in direct donations. More information about the gift can be seen in this video.

“Nonprofits need corporate support more than ever before, as the pandemic has further emphasized the need in our community,” said Bill Sullivan, Colorado President and CEO of BOK Financial. “We’re grateful that our BOK Financial family and friends rallied around to support these two organizations despite the event cancellation.”

Kids First Health Care is committed to improving the health and well-being of infants, children, and youth by providing primary and preventive health services in partnership with schools and other community organizations.

A Precious Child provides disadvantaged and displaced children with “cradle to career” support to break the cycle of poverty by reducing socioeconomic inequalities, connecting them with needed resources, services, opportunities, and educational support.

“This donation has been game changing for our organization,” said Courtney Wickberg, chief communications officer, A Precious Child. “Biz Bash supporters are not only supporting A Precious Child, they’re supporting the 57,000 children that we were able to serve last year, and we are just so incredibly grateful for that opportunity.”

Kids First Health Care’s Executive Director Whitney Gustin Connor added, “These donations really make it possible to serve our children, especially those who don’t have a way to pay for healthcare services. We want to keep all kiddos well, ready to learn and in school.”

Since its inception more than 20 years ago, the Biz Bash concert fundraiser has distributed more than $6 million to local nonprofits in Colorado and Arizona, serving the needs of vulnerable children and families.
