Kids First is thrilled to welcome Viridiana Valdez as the newest member of the Board of Directors!

Viridiana Valdez earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Denver and is the founder and managing attorney of Valdez Law LLC, where she represents individuals and families in immigration matters with a focus on humanitarian relief, family-based immigration, and removal defense. She is dedicated to expanding access to quality legal services and empowering clients through compassionate advocacy and community education.

Through her work, Viridiana has seen firsthand how access to healthcare, legal stability, and community resources can profoundly impact the well-being of children and families. She regularly collaborates with nonprofit organizations and community partners to provide legal education and resources to underserved populations. She believes that strong communities are built through collaboration, equity, and service. As a member of the Kids First Health Board of Directors, she is honored to contribute her legal expertise and commitment to improving outcomes for children and families throughout Colorado.

Big transitions can feel exciting, overwhelming—or both. This program is designed to help participants navigate the journey toward greater independence with confidence and clarity, whether they’re preparing for college, entering the workforce, or exploring what comes next.

Kids will explore mindfulness, breathwork, and emotional check-in tools through fun, short guided practices, cooperative games, role-playing, and creative activities. Participants will build self-awareness, coping skills, and confidence—while forming supportive, positive friendships along the way!
