Pediatric Health Care At Home
Telehealth services allow you to connect with your child’s provider from the comfort and safety of home. Kids First Health Care offers telehealth services for most visit types, including sick care, chronic disease management, reproductive health care, and behavioral health care. Kids First providers offer virtual behavioral heath services, and Kid First has also partnered with Colorado Access to provide behavioral health services through Virtual Care Collaboration and Integration (VCCI).
Telehealth visits are available to patients who have established care at Kids First Health Care after an initial in-person well child visit. Telehealth visits have a number of benefits for patients, including:
- Lower wait times for care.
- Lower cost of care, especially if you do not have insurance.
- Greater access to your provider and faster responses.

Telehealth Visits
Kids First offers telehealth services for the following appointment types:
- Asthma follow-up appointments and medication refill
- Sick visit for patients over 6 months old, as deemed appropriate by the medical provider
- Nutrition follow up
- Allergy appointments
- ADHD visits (note that in-person appointments are required every 3 months)
- Reproductive health visit for management of birth control
- Behavioral and mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and learning difficulties and disabilities
- Care coordination appointments for patients with complex medical needs
For specific details on your insurance plan, please contact your insurance provider. Telehealth is also available for uninsured patients. We are currently offering both in-person and virtual assistance with applying for health insurance through Health First Colorado (Medicaid) or Child Care Plan Plus (CHP+).
