Staff

Kathleen Ramirez, RN, MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner-C, Nurse Practitioner

Kathleen brings more than nine years of experience as a certified family nurse practitioner to her role at Kids First Health Care. She has spent her adult life in healthcare and has grown from a CNA/MA to LPN to RN, and now nurse practitioner.

Her experiences include extensive expertise in family practices, where she has been able to treat the entire family from newborns to grandparents. Kathleen has a knack for understanding the family unit, unique family dynamics, family health histories and is passionate about helping families support one another.

At Adams City Middle School (ACMS), Kathleen serves as the nurse practitioner, where she provides integrated health care services to all ACMS students.

Kathleen joined the Kids First Health Care team because she is a steadfast supporter of school-based health centers and believes that when children have access to high quality health care services where they spend most of their time, they are better prepared to learn and succeed in life.

In addition to her work at Kids First Health Care, Kathleen works for Banner Health in a rural family practice clinic.

Bobbi Garcia-Abrego, Enrollment Coordinator

Bobbi joined Kids First Health Care in 2010, bringing extensive insurance enrollment expertise, as well as compassion for families’ circumstances to her role as enrollment coordinator.

Bobbi assists families with enrollment into insurance programs such as Medicaid and CHP+, as well as helping them navigate access to a variety of other resource benefits like SNAP, TANF and LEAP.

Her decision to join the Kids First team came easy to her, as Bobbi had recently navigated the CHP+ enrollment process for her own children, and realized just how arduous an experience it was, and she wanted to leverage this to support other families.

Through her work at Kids First, Bobbi has fostered strong client relationships and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. She is committed to providing families a safe and respectful environment to access benefits without judgement or fear.

Prior to serving at Kids First, Bobbi worked in medical billing, and in 2003, she obtained her medical assisting certification through Concorde Career College. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and adores serving her community.
