Kids First is thrilled to open its newest clinic in partnership with Maiker Housing Partners at 3075 W. 71st. Ave., Westminster, CO 80030!

The clinic – which serves patients from birth to 21 – is conveniently located in the retail space at Maiker’s Alto Community.

Pediatric primary care services available include:

  • Physical health – well child check ups, sports physicals, vaccines, reproductive health, sick visits, management of chronic disease such as asthma, and more.
  • Mental health care – brief visits with a counselor, as well as one-on-one therapy.
  • Enrollment in Medicaid and CHP+, and support accessing other immediate needs resources.

Mollie Mulberry, Nurse Practitioner

Catherine (Cat) Kutz, Nurse Practitioner

Cat joined Kids First Health Care in 2024, bringing with her extensive experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Cat is also a Qualified Bilingual Provider, which enables her to deliver incredible care in Spanish and English to patients and families.

Working primarily out of the Alto Community Clinic, Cat is thrilled to leverage her expertise to serve patients across Westminster who access this clinic that is conveniently nestled in the retail space at Maiker Housing Partners’ Alto Community.

Joining Kids First was a natural fit for Cat, as she is passionate about taking care of all children, regardless of their circumstances, from infancy to young adulthood. She loves being a part of a team that truly provides patient-centered care, ensuring that patients’ health care needs are met, enabling more equitable health outcomes for all children.

Before joining Kids First, Cat worked in the Children’s Hospital Colorado Pulmonary and Sleep Clinic.

Lisa Chavez, Behavioral Health Professional

Alyssa Middleton, MFTC, Behavioral Health Professional

Alyssa is dedicated to creating a supportive and compassionate space for children, adolescents and families navigating life’s challenges. Her expertise includes providing therapy support to build coping skills to manage stress, anxiety and life changes, while promoting self-worth and emotional resilience. Alyssa’s therapeutic approach is humanistic and experiential, focusing on family dynamics and life experiences that shape a person’s sense of self. Alyssa is also trained in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) at ICEEFT to further support families in building emotional connection and mutual understanding. 

Alyssa supports patients with developing healthier communication strategies, enhancing self-esteem and improving emotional well-being.  

Alyssa joined the Kids First Health Care team because she believes in the accessibility of integrated healthcare for children and families. Collaboration between medical and mental health professionals is an essential undertaking, and Alyssa is passionate about being part of a team that supports this approach to improve the well-being of patients and families.  

Before joining Kids First Health Care, Alyssa graduated from Regis University with a master’s in marriage and family therapy. During her studies, she interned at the Regis Center for Counseling and Family Therapy, gaining valuable hands-on experience in providing therapeutic support to individuals and families. 

Alyssa is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Satir Institute of the Pacific and the National Alliance for Children’s Grief. 

Alyssa also currently owns and operates the Center for Relational and Child Therapy, where her work centers on helping families and couples navigate life transitions, promote healthy relational dynamics and establish congruent communication.  

Blakely Weber, Behavioral Health Provider

Carlamaria Mani, Behavioral Health Case Navigator

Carla joined Kids First Health Care in 2024 as the Behavioral Health Case Navigator, supporting the behavioral health team with case coordination services to help to reduce barriers to care for patients across the agency.

Joining the Kids First team was an easy decision for Carla, as the nonprofit’s mission was perfectly aligned with her own values and beliefs.

Carla brings extensive expertise in case management and finds great joy in helping children and families navigate the medical industry, especially when it comes to insurance and assisting with scheduling appointments and finding transportation to access health care services.

Before joining Kids First, Carla served as a case manager for Clinica Family Health.

Paola Sanchez, Enrollment Coordinator

Paola joined Kids First Health Care in 2024 as an Enrollment Coordinator, bringing with her six years of experience as an enrollment specialist and manager at Clinica Family Health.

Paola works mainly out of the Alto Community Clinic, Westminster High School school-based health center and Thornton High School school-based health center, where she helps to enroll families into Medicaid, CHP+, SNAP, WIC, and other immediate needs resources. Paola is also instrumental in supporting patient enrollment into a sliding fee scale for those who do not qualify for any other insurance programs.

The choice to work at Kids First was an easy one for Paola, as she was motivated to leverage her background as an Adams County community member, as well as her bilingual fluency, to help connect families to benefits and resources to make a difference in their lives. She received her Associates of Arts in business, Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and is CAAS Certified.
