Health Care for Children Year-Round

Kids First Health Care provides health care services for infants, children and teens from birth to age 21 at the Commerce City clinic. The Commerce City location is accepting new patients and has no zip code requirements. Kids First also helps families apply for and renew health insurance coverage for children through the Health First CO (Medicaid) and CHP+ programs. Dr. Amanda Jichlinski, Medical Director

Dr. Amanda Jichlinski (Amanda) has been with Kids First Health Care since 2022, bringing notable expertise as a pediatrician with multiple years of experience in integrated pediatric health care to her role as medical director.  

Across the agency’s nine clinics, Amanda oversees clinical care and provides administrative and leadership support for all sites, including Kids First’s community clinics that serve patients from birth to 21, and its school-based health centers that serve students enrolled at those schools. 

Amanda is passionate about reducing health disparities for children in marginalized and medically underserved communities, and her leadership role at Kids First allows her to deliver equitable health care across Adams County.  

Growing up fluent in English, Spanish and French, Amanda has always found joy serving diverse and immigrant populations. Throughout her career, Amanda has cared for families from a variety of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds and enjoys serving them while learning about their communities. 

Before joining Kids First, Amanda worked as a pediatrician at Salud Family Health Centers in Commerce City.  

Amanda is Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, completed medical school at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, and completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s National in Washington, D.C. 

Rebecca “Becky” Lusk, Nurse Practitioner

Becky brings more than 30 years of experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner to her role at Kids First Health Care.  

At the Commerce City Community Clinic, Becky supports patients from birth to 21 with the delivery of high quality, integrated health care services. Her passion for patient-centered care is evident through the strong relationships she’s developed with generations of families at Kids First.  

Becky joined the Kids First Health Care team in 2004 and has developed a profound connection to the patients and families who live across the Commerce City community.  

With more than two decades of experience at Kids First, Becky maintains an unwavering commitment to her patients, and she enjoys watching them grow from infancy to young adulthood, while providing them with care to support their health and well-being. 

Before joining Kids First Health Care, Becky worked as a nurse practitioner for Every Child Pediatrics.

Bobbi Garcia-Abrego, Enrollment Coordinator

Ms. Garcia-Abrego has worked at Kids First Health Care since 2010. In her role as Enrollment Coordinator, she enrolls families and children in Medicaid, CHP+, and Kids First’s sliding scale; helps families sign up for Presumptive Eligibility (temporary Medicaid coverage); troubleshoots issues with public insurance enrollment; and provides referrals for community resources. Prior to serving at Kids First, she worked in medical billing, and in 2003, she obtained her medical assisting certification through Concorde Career College. Ms. Garcia-Abrego is bilingual in English and Spanish, and she adores serving her community.
