Students from a local STEM school designed and cre $Students from a local STEM school designed and created an “extra-hand feeding device” for people who require assistance with eating. The Kids First nursing team found a device online that would allow staff to administer a g-tube feeding in a more efficient manner, which costs $139. The nursing team presented the idea to a teacher who said his tech class was beginning a 3-D printing unit, and thought this would be an ideal project for his students. After a few failed attempts, they created a functional device, like the online device, but at a fraction of the cost ($20). The students named it, “The STEM extra-hand feeding device.” We are incredibly proud of the resourcefulness and ingenuity of these students. They stepped up to create a device that positively impacts fellow students by making the school day more manageable and enjoyable! @westminsterpublicschools$
